Strawberry Festival

Im making up for my not posting today.







the strawberry festival was fun. i think we got there at around noon. haha! the first thing mom wanted to do was eat=P so we got four funnel cakes and ate them on the lawn across from the stand where we bought them. i have to say, i love funnel cake. however, too much makes me feel sick. to help that, i just had a bite of everyone elses. that way no one got sick! =) we spent the rest of the time walking around. i didnt get anything at the festival itself, but i did go into one of the shops in a.g. and got something there: two shells and a hankie. yup. i think they are pretty amazing. Noelle got her face painted, mom got a hat, dean got a bottle of wine, carter got a rubber band gun, and jake got a soda... thats all i think. i cant remember if grandma got anything. besides the funnel cake.

i saw a bunch of people i knew there! katie, two of the doody kids and mr doody, joanna, adam d. and his sister, sydney, a couple from church, and like three or four other people from the grace bible youth group that i dont remember their names. sad.

overall, it was a great time! i love those festivals...


Drive In:

on sunday we went to the drive in with the ways. we saw indiana jones and ironman. i think ironman was the better of the two. though neither really were all that great. indiana jones turned into this alien movie! psh. i did fall asleep during ironman.... so i dont even know how it ended. zoei, riss, noelle, and i fell asleep during ironman. on the floor, outside, in the cold. we had blankets but it was still cold. everyone else stayed in the cars. mr and mrs way had zachary quarantined in the car... he was sick=(

while i was laying outside, right before i fell asleep i looked up, and i could see the clouds moving. it was amazing!! they were moving so fast! there were pretty much only clouds and a few faint stars, then it was clear! it was amazing... i wish i could fall asleep to that every night.

Pismo:





yesterday we went to pismo with grandma... it was sad, mom had a lot to do at home as well as dean. soo, they were going to stay home and we were going to have fun. we loaded up the burban abd headed towards pismo. as soon as we turned the corner on wadsworth i saw the anders car. once i found a spot ( which took a while) and parked, i called them up. carrisa told us where they were and we met up. jake and i ran over to panchos to get noelle, carter, and him a wetsuit. even though the waves werent all that great i went out surfing. i caught a couple... it was way too flat. i had fun though! oOokay... i was out there and i am walking right... right, and i step on something very squishy and slimey. i screamed so badly and jumped up on my board. (the board was backwards by the way). for some reason, when i really wanted to stay on the board i kept almost falling off (i couldnt find my blance while i was in a panic). all the while i was screaming. after that, i was done. i got out and spent the rest of the time out of the water. carrisa, nathan and i went up to the pier for a while. i got a splinter in my heel. i go up on the pier all the time without shoes after ive been surfing! i guess that was just a lucky day. i had to get it out... i sat down and prolly looked really dumb, and got it out. soon after that we left.

as soon as i got home, dean asked me to trim the bushes out front. i really dont mind doing that! its not so bad. i get to be a perfectionist. its great. i still have a few more i need to do. i really wanted to finish them today... but... my hands are so sore and stiff that mom said i should wait a few days. it is pretty bad. i cant grip or squeeze anything... oh well. we have these hand clippers that are prolly older than i am... so they were hard to use... hopefully we get a new pair. hey! maybe thats what ill get dean for fathers day!

Today:

grandma just left and mom and dean went to the gym together.

i made coffee and am really enjoying it. since sunday coffee tastes extra good to me. i dunno why... but it does.

He Loves Me

i finished my school a little early today. so since then ive been cleaning. no i feel burnt out on cleaning. lol! i dont know what to do. i wanted to paint... however, im thinking its not a good idea. my grandma is coming again today, so the last thing i need to be doing is painting. i still have some things i could do around the house. im just lagging. psh. i need to wake up. woah! dinner! i forgot about that.

The Smell of Coffee

last night i babysat for the first time in a long time. i babysat for this new couple in church. they are both really nice. they have just moved here, so their house had no furnature. lol! i sat on the floor and watched movies all night. the little boy, jackson, was asleep even before i got there. i was there from 9:10p.m.-1:10a.m. they had gone out to see Prince Caspian.

so, this morning i am making a bigger pot of coffee than usual. i was able to sleep in a bit too=) if i go to bed late and sleep in, its weird, but i think it makes me more tired. i dunno. maybe im just imagining it.

a walk to remember

oh my word.

there are few movies that ive cried during and even fewer books... come to think of it, i dont think ive ever cried while reading a book. i did today though. i read a walk to remember in two days. i finished the last part today, crying.

it was such a sad book and the ending is so unclear. its also kind of happy, in a weird way. well, a sad happy. if that makes sense.

i just felt like letting you know that.

A Daisy

well, there isnt too much to say for today... cept fpr a few things.

after church our family (minus dean, again) went to the wrights for a going away party for hannah. she is going to be gone in nepal until sept. 2 ( i think it was). ill miss you hannah<3

after that, we went over to the ways house so zoei could get somethings so she could spend the night. we just finished watching "kate and leopold." after i get off here, i am going to put some music on her ipod from my itunes.

then tomorrow morning we are all going surfing. its zoeis first time. i hope i can be kind of helpful. im not like crazy good, as you know. it should be fun though.

later tomorrow evening, we will take her home.

other than that, not much.

im slowly getting a lot of glass bottles for my room. im going to fill them with sand, shells, and rocks. i had already had a few bottles filled. after i went to visit jordie, i got inspired to fill more=) i think i even have buttons in one bottle.

thats all can think to say. im super tired and my brain isnt working right.

my heart beat so hard, i think i cracked a rib

wow. i literaly just woke up (7:34am). i had a scary dream. ive never had a dream like this before.

i woke up and my heart felt like it was pounding against my rib cage (and for a few mintutes, that was the only sound i could her) and i was breathing fast and deep... took me a minute to calm down. even then my heart was still going crazy.

the beginning of my dream was really sad. i cried a lot. so did a few other people. it was horrible. i was crying because i felt like a horrible person!. the others were cryng because of me. all i wanted to do was fix it and make it better. i felt like i had no power to do so.

the next section of my dream everything was happy. everyone was happy. things seemed better for the most part.

after things were getting better, we went to meet some people at the beach. something happened though... my mom and i were driving seprate cars, i was in the volvo with jake, noelle, and carter. mom was in one of our other two cars, alone. i think her car broke down (or disappeared). we were driving on opposite sides of the freeway. one of those crazy bridges that lift you, what feels like, 3hundred thousdand feet from the gravel floor. we were on one of those. except different ones. so we were like half a mile apart on one of those things. so i was stopped on the other side, and she on the other.

a huge black guy in a scratchy, wool sweater and jeans was dropped off right infront of my car. all the kids had gotten out and i had been trying to keep them from getting run over and back in the car again. the guy came up to me and grabbed me. i screamed, asking him what he was doing and why. he told me it was very important. i then asked him what he wanted. all he said was he wanted a red bag. however, i didnt have a red bag. i had no idea what he wanting to do now that i had told him that. either he didnt believe me, or he didnt care. he slammed me to the gravel floor. all my sibs stood helpless. cept for jake who was kicking the man halfheartedly with an odd expression on his face. the whole time this was going i kept thinking, this cant be happening. i told myself to pull together and kick him or punch him in the throat (like i had been taught). in the end i found that i couldnt. he had a hold on me that felt like i had no way to defend myself. an arm came loose and i would swing at him. my mom was helpless on the other side. i figured she was calling the cops. in the end i woke up and never found out if i made it. its wierd, kind of remember a red bag in the beginning or middle of my dream...

Mother's Day and Such...

im so tired today. ive been tired a lot. i havent been sleeping all that well. i slept better last night but then i went to bed too late and got up too early. alas, im still tired. i slept so hard last night too!!! geeze. w/e

i got to see jordie friday and saturday... i went over to their house for maddies birthday party, then she came over to my house to spend the night. it was so amazing to see her! its been like forever and a day since i last saw her. i think it was at the nutcracker performance. and even then i only saw her for a short time. it was fun=)

so yesterday, from like 10:30a.m. i was at pismo. we went surfing in the morning and then we walked around for a while. the waves were really blown out... still, we had fun. for a while dean and i paddled out past the break and just sat out there. jake tried to get out there, however, he ended up just messing around on his board. hehe=) short legs, short arms, short... well, just short=P i dont think that we are going tomorrow. we usually go on mondays but, i dont know if we will. maybe later in the week.

mothers day was pretty good. well, i had fun. my grandma drove up. its awesome to have her here. she went to the beach with us yesterday too. she was gonna try to surf wit htme but then chickened out. haha! it was so lame. ill get her out next time. er, well, she said that she would next time. who knows if she really will. she is afraid that a shark is going to get her. ( never mind that is too shallow where we surf.... way to shallow. she is convinced). anyway, off subject. grandma and i took the volvo to church so that we could go pick up a few things for my mom. after church, i drove her around town... starbucks, the mall, albertsons.... then home for an amazing dinner. i think that both my mom and grandma had a good mothers day. i hope they did!

im so excited!! im going to go get my hair fixed on tuesday! its way to grown out and looks horrible. i really am gonna keep it short for a while. maybe al ong while. i was thinking evem a new style. i just dont know what style. ill prolly just keep the same style...

Saturday's Surfing Pics

okay, i am seriously excited right now. call me a noobie. i know i am. and i love it! i caught quite a few waves today. stood up and all. yup. im pretty happy with that right now. i think ill go again this weekend. maybe, during the week. who knows. i need to check the weather. my arm dislocated twice. oh man. the shock and pain. i wish that could be fixed. im sure there is a way. like quite using it for a while. psh ya. thas gonna happen. the same thing happened the other ten times. im always doing something that massivly involves my arms: ballet, surfing, falling on it in soccer (even though i dont do that anymore), vaccuming, other cleaning stuff. lol! okay its not that much. it feels like it though. its gonna be so sore tomorrow.

we ate at longboards today after surfing. it was so gewd! i like it better than splash. i think i got the hawaiian burger... so good.

man the kittens are getting so big! pretty soon, they will be going to homes=( i wish they didnt have too. they are all so cute! (arent they always though....) if i looked at it that way, we would be infested with cats.

other than that not much. school and chores. then piano and guitar. yuppers, thats it.

went surfing

well, i went surfing for the first time since like 9th or 8th grade. it was awesome! i really hope i dont suck for long and will be able to ride soon. man! just sitting on the board without putting your hands on it to steady yourself, is kinna hard. the waves were really flat so- it wasnt easy to catch a wave. there werent many other surfers out. the ones that were out, werent catching waves either. still, i had a lot of fun and am really tired. haha! i seriously lack the upper body strength. i got my feet on the board once, then fell. all the other times, my arms wouldnt paddle strong or hard enough to catch another one. that and the waves werent really good anyway.

thats pretty much all that we did today.

everyone else was up on the beach chillin. once, nathan and i got really far over, so my mom and dean walked over to where we were and waited there till we noticed. i think cilla and jake were in the water most of the time too. i think we are all going again this next week. so that will be fosheezy.

a look into another day in time

hello all,

we are home from socal now. we have been for a few days. a lot has gone on and yet, not that much has gone on.

lets see... yesterday we went to prissys 10th birthday party. we hung out there for a bit. while we were there, nathan and i planned a surfing trip... i think we are going this saturday. he is gonna teach me to surf. its my goal to learn before we move. so if we ever come and visit, or are anywhere there is surf, i can=)i wanted to learn a long time ago.. but somehow- that never panned out.

our cousin brea was coming up to stay with us for a few days (starting yesterday). so by the time we were done with prissys birthday party, she was at our house. she had planned to stay for a few days but had to leave, unexpectedly, today.

now is where today comes into type. today was moms day to teach jakes science co-op. so for a while in the morning we cleaned house and got ready for guests. the co-op started and ended. i even did the experiment. haha! i have a 13 1/2 (i think they measured it in cups?? not sure) lung capacity. woop woop for me=P i dont know where that is on the normal lung capacity rate, er level... something like that.

pretty much as soon as the co-op was over, brea left. it was sad. only a 24 hr stay. we didnt even get to do anything fun!

i finished up school for the day... after i had finished that, i had planned on reading the book i borrowed from nathan, 'House,' but- i havent yet. the book is really good so far. totally something i have never read before. it was written by frank peretti and ted decker. usually not my style of book. however, it is gewd.

currently, my uncle chris just got here like 30 an hour ago. he has some work in pismo tomorrow. so hes gonna stay with us for the night (as far as i know). he might be staying longer. i havent totally been downloaded yet=)

we are here in socal right now. just visiting family and friends. we even brought mommy cat and the kittens with us, cuz we would be gone so long... no clue when we are going home. haha!

i have a few things that need prayer for... my uncle is having a hard time. really really hard time. my mom is pregnant, and we would all love to have prayer for her! as all my friends know our history in that area, please pray for her and baby. they are both doing fine right now! which is a blessing... and if you all could pray for me personally... i would be so thankful to you all!

this is my first offical post from home. even though i have been home for almost a full month. yes, time and life have kept me busy. there was some fun in the middle=)
ive just been home mostly. working on school, helping around the house (entailing: cooking, cleaning, babysitting... and other house works), and spent some time with some friends this last weekend. it was pretty awesomely fun. we just hung out together. at one point carrisa and i went to starbucks and the moms and three of the kids went to the homeschool book fair. a little later, carissa, nathan, and myself went to the homeschool fair to see what was going on with our family there. there was a lot of procrastination getting that far in decisions of what to do=) while we were there i got see carl and a few other friends! so that was pretty cool. in the end, we all (thirteen al together) ended up at the Anders having dinner and talking for a long while! nathan and i messed around on the guitars a bit then a few of us sat on the pourch talking. haha! it was eleven at night before we went home! it didnt even feel like eleven at night. it was so weird.

other than that, i havent been busy with much. i have, however, been working on writing more songs. i eventually want to record them... but that might take a while. i have finished two song on the piano. they need lyrics and guitar added still. annddd there are two still in the works, on the piano.

oh! i was so excited about this! jon foreman has three of his new single albums out: spring, fall, and winter. summer will be coming out at some point. the songs are amazing! music and lyrics!

tuesday:
we worked till lunch then went over to the printers. it was so awesome to see all these things being printed! oh my word. i really have to add pictures this time.
after we went there, we went over to walmart and big lots. i got a vitamin water at walmart. they were one dollar! i havent seen them that cheap. it made me kind of happy=D and we played jello the whole ride home. which is amazing here, since we live out in the country, so the road are really curvey.

wednesday:
we finised another day of work! and caught up the whole company! yesss... so we have hardly anything to do. yesterday, was the lunar ecplipse. (sp?) hannah, lisa, amanda, and psalmody and i, stood out on the balcony and watched the moon and stars disapear. so so incredable. oh my. once the sky went dark, we all went inside and played pit. it was my first time playing, and let me tell you, it has become one of my favorite games. haha! its kind of a loud game. psalmody is gonna platt braide my hair one night. i think this weekend. im excited. i had that done when i was like 8, for summer one year.

today:
the day isnt over yet. its only lunch time. but- the day has started off amazingly! i got my package from my mom. and- she is pretty much amazing! she was amazing anyway. but- you know what i mean. AND since we caught up everything yesterday, we have seriously nothing to do today. haha! no joke.

hey hey!

i think i decided what my favorite jobs are here in the office. i like restocking, and orders. the copmuter stuff is cool too. its pretty chill. i just decided that those were my favorite. lol!

so all ive just been in the office and hanging with all the girls and kids. its been chill. which is nice since ive been sick.

i did the scariest thing ever today! well, im sure i could have done something more scary but- you know what i mean. okay, there is an abondoned house up the street. and well, i went in it today. i didnt go alone! i went with amanda. we went in together. it was so trippy. okay, so on the outside there are two front doors. one on either side of the house. but when we went in where the living room was, there were no doors in the corners, but a door in the middle! so so weird! so there are three false doors!! in one of the pictures i took, you can see like a line where the doors would have been; the two doors, that look like they lead inside from the outside... ya. and there is no visable line on the outside, for the one in the middle of the wall on the inside. so weird! after we were done, we kinna ran out. haha! cuz we noticed a hole in the ceiling, and it was scary.

hello all! sorry for not posting about these picturess=) i was trying to upload more, but the computer wouldnt let me. so- the pictures of me are with the other amanda. we have matching beanies that hannah made. twinners=)
then theres the picture of the office, and the little heater that heats the office. or at least heats one side of the office. haha! uless we turn it up to like 100 degrees then the heat reaches the other side... mrs campbell usually turns it down to 63, no matter what heat we have it up to. we could have it at 65 and she would still turn it down. haha!

and,then,before,after...& the mystery smell.

so ive had a pretty busy day.... this morning, i finished up the thank you letters. they had been so backed up from previous months that it took me two days and a morning to finish them. then i answered the phones for a while, taking orders and fixing accounts. after that i moved on to doing pay pal, which is online orders. so i just print them out then package and mail them. i added the orders i had done to the "book", then i started squirrel mail. which is where i print out people with three or more kids under th age of 10, OR they have requested more than one magazine, OR they have a prayer request, OR all listed previous. if they dont have any of those i just write their name on a mailing lable, slide it in with a magazine, seal it, and mail it. also if the the requests are from outta country i have to look up the above rubies head quaters there, find their email, then forward the message to them. lol! wow, thats very detailed of me....

we may go over to vanges tonight. im not sure. lol! we shall see....

i think im getting sick again... not fun. see all four of us girls sleep in one room. as you saw in the pick a few posts ago.... so when one of us gets sick, we breathe in the diseased (dont think thats a word, so i just made it one) air. so when one gets sick, it tends to circulate. yay! hannah was just sick, and before that amanda and i, before that carrie was sick... so yes im sure you get the pattern. lol! AND nrs. campbell is sick.

okay so- in the office we kept getting whiffs of some disgusting smell. we looked through the cupboard where the smell was coming from,and couldnt find anything!!! so for a week and a half we just went on dealing with the gross smell. we just couldnt figure it out! then today, the smell got stronger, someone calls out my name, and i turn around to see lisa holding a plastic bag. i look at her and then amanda says," they are sardines." rotten sardines were stinking up our office. how they got put in the supply cupbord, i have no idea.

tornadoes

last night there was a tornado. it went right through the town that i am living in. i was so freaked out! needless to say, i didnt sleep well last night. at all. a house right next to us got hit. so, we werent hit specifically. we did, however, get crazy wind, hardcore rain, and massive thunder and lightning. AND we lost power. its so sad, there are 48 reported deaths in a 60 mile radius from us.

the weather all over the place is crazy. i got on weather.com today... wow. you guys should check that out (if you already havent). yay! i hear more wind, thunder and rain.... oh my. the storm is gonna be over in this area again today, getting worse at night.

other than that, nothing is really going on. we'll just be down in the office again today. ill most likely be on weather channels on lunch break. oh ya! we might go into town for a few things... if the weather isnt too bad.

hey everyone!
sorry ive been lazy about posting... hehe.
pretty much just been down in the office working eveyday. lol! which is what im here for. mostly ive been writing a lot of encouragement letters. they were backed up from like months ago, so there were a lot to write.
for my birthday (yesterday) i went with my friend (the other amanda) and her mom, sister, and friend into franklin. we all went out to sushi and thai food. it was so so so so good! though. i think i need to take them one more time, to real sushi. cuz all they had was a roll with no REAL raw fish. lol! they liked that though. amanda has agreed to eat the hard core stuff=) after that we all went to the hotel they were staying at, and hung out. all we did there was watch tlc shows like 'what not to wear' and 'say yes to the dress' it was pretty cool. the following morning we went to the franklin mall. they have some GEWD stores there. it was fun! although all the girls here say that the nashville mall is better. but- im pretty satisfied with the franklin mall. its better than the santa maria mall. thats for sure. i think that any mall is better than the santa marias.

okay. scary story. this just happened like ten minutes ago. we were coming home from being in town agian. it was one of the other g irls, lisa, birthday. so we surprised her and took her out to ice cream. then we get lost on the way home for 45 minutes. no joke. in the dark too. everything looks different in the dark. after all that, we get on the road to home, and some guy is following us. literally! i know mom you migjht think that we were are being dramatic. hahahaha! but for sure. he drove past us. then we turned into the wrong drive way, so he turned around and like stopped right next to our car as we backed up. so by then we were freaked. then! he turns around and sticks his head outr the window, and just looke at us. nothing came out of his mouth. i dont think he was lost or needed directions somewhere. so i told the driver ( amanda holbrook) to not pull into our REAL driveway. so we passed it then turned around. he had turned around with us. then back around again and was just sitting there. we pulled into pearls driveway and took the long way to our house. then literally ran inside. i was hanging onto one of my shoes with my toes.... seriously. it was scary. uh! not. fun.

just when all of us girls thought, we have water!! we lost it three days later. so yes we are without water again. please pray that it returns quickly!!! and that the construction guy would get the water pipes covered (they are currently exposed to the weather and all it brings). thankfully i was able to get a shower in before we heard the news.

well, things are going pretty well here. just working in the office (or the ice box as i like to call it). ive been in charge of the phone calls the last three days. it keeps you on your toes. thats for sure. when im not on the phone taking orders, getting info for account changes, and women who need help logging in im usually doing computer work. as far as the computer work goes i go in and change accounts, send letters to people, sift through squirrel mail (lol), and add people. then theres the packaging and shipping.

hey something exciting! and scary. wow. i still cant believe my chicken self did this. although most the time i thought that i was gonna pass out with fear. lol! clara came over a couple days ago and hung out with us for a while. then had planned on spending the night at vanges. so when it was time for her to walk over there the other amanda and i didnt want her to have to walk through the woods, in the dark, by herself. so- we all linked arms and walked into the darkness of the forest(dramatic huh?). we got there just fine! we had clara as a guide! she has been there thousands of times. but once on our way back. not so much. lol! we got a bit lost and couldnt find the little trail into the woods that would take us back to the campbells house. we found it,eventually, and timidly entered back into the woods. (also when i say woods, i mean Woods....) there was no running either. it had been raining all day and the day before so- mud. lots of it. our shoes were in bad shape after that. i guess my converse are gonna have to be reserved for mud walking now. anyways, it was scary but we made it through.

we had a blast yesterday! we went into "town" yesterday. we went to walmart and out to eat at the cracker barrel. yesss! im part of the cracker barrel club now. haha! if any ways read this post, i went to cracker barrel! (and i had something with bacon mr way!) haha! good times. so it was fun. i got batteries there for my camera. i know i know, its crazy. jk.

when we got home after being out, we all decided to take a nap. it was heavenly. our schedules are still all thrown off. so the sleep was needed. then we went over to the henninstons, where i really think that i met kalebs twin (pre long hair) haha! it was crazy. i kept wanting to call him kaleb when i talked to him. i had to keep reminding myself that he wasnt! they were a really cool family. they had ten kids and like three or four were married with kids of their own. so we had all their younger kids, plus their older children and grand children, plus a few of the neighbors and their kids, and then all of us!! there were so many. i still dont understand how we all fit in the house. at one time i think that there were like three babies crying at the same time... as soon as we walked in a bunch of the guys wanted us to write songs with them about coming here and living with the campbells. cuz you know they meet all the rubie girls. so- they are used to having all these girls come over at some point. they gave me a guiar and had me play with them for a while. it was so fun! they all have martin guitars... ahhhhhhh=) anyways, the henningston family are a recording family. they are all signed and record together. though some of them are breaknig away and starting to have their own contracts. they sing country christian and write a few normal songs on the side. they are pretty good. we stayed at their house for a couple of hours talking, singing worship songs, and having theology discussions. it was all very interesting. i really enjoyed it. i think we (at least i will) end up going over there a few times. im sure some the other girls will too though. their daughter wanted to get together with another girl (who happens to be named amanda too) and i tomorrow. it should be fun! shes really cool. her name is claire(17). so ya!

i met the campbells oldest daughter the other night as well. she so funny. there is never a moment when you wonder where is evangeline?? cuz you can hear her. shes really nice! haha! very funny. she has nine kids. i like her=)

tomorrow is my second day of work! yay for me! its fun.

eventually ill post pictures. i only just got batteries yesterday though!

bathtubs made out of sinks...

okay- so, on the drive here last night, mr campbell informed us that one of the water pipes had frozen and broke while they were in new zealand. so they only have one water pipe which ment quick showers. then this morning, mrs campbell walks in the office and says," girls, i have a bit of bad news. it seems the guys who were working on the other pipe, have busted our last pipe. the water came out the cracks and is now frozen as well." so no showers, no flushing of toilets (or pulling the chain as mrs campbell says), no washing of clothes, no dishwasher... we'll be using the spring water from the sink to wash our hair, face, and arms. at least we have water at all!! so please pray that they can get the pipes fixed soon!!!

so, i woke up this morning totally unsure of what to expect. after today im pretty excited for the rest of the trip! excited for the adventures, good times, and lessons ill learn. also the trials. its actually fun working down in the office. i cant help but to think of "the office." today i added a bunch of people to the above rubies group on the computer. i did that from 9 until 12:30. had lunch then, packaged a bunch of news letters from then until about 3. there are four other girls working here with me: lisa, hannah, carrie, and another amanda! they are all really great. fun, easy to talk to.

haha! all the girls adopted from liberia are so cute and funny and very sweet! they almost never stop talking and laughing. i love to see them laugh for some reason. their names are psalmody(16), sapphire(15), and mercy(15).

we went on a four mile hike today. it was really nice to get out and walk a bit. and though everything is still bare, it was still very pretty. we got back and finished i the last of the packaging. now im free for the rest of the evening!

airports....(1st post in tennessee!)

well, im in tennessee! my plane didnt crash. lol! i didnt expect it to...

so we lef t a t like 5:40 this morning. maybe sixish. the drive went well up until we were about a "half hour" away from the burbank airport. we hit quite a bit of traffic. by the time we got to the airport, we were all worried that i wouldnt make the flight. we get up up the counter to check in, and the first thing that comes out of her mouth is," you are gonna have to hustle." i was thinking," oh great." we got the bags checked in then went to the metal thingys. oh. my. word. we had to take off shoes and jewelry! i had no idea that we had to do th at!!! i mean. ya. i knew we had to walk trough those things but- my shoes. anyways- so the people infront of us took forever. the guy kept telling the girl that she need ed to take off her jewelry, but i guess she didnt understand that. haha! finally we get through and dean turns to me and says," dont worry about putting your shoes back on, you dont have time." which ment that neither did he. so there we were, the both of us, running full speed through the airport. and of course my gate had to be the farthest. we get tot the gate and apperently another lady had gotten there late too, cuz the plane had already pulled away and then had to drop the stairs for her. i was able to run out and jump on. still without shoes. haha! it was funny. and then finding a seat. that was interesting. however- i made it. now im sitting here thinking of home and eating charms candy. lol!

in the airport here, there were all these awesome guitars cased around the floor with stories to follow them. it wa amazing! recording city. ahh.... amazing. i wonder?? i bet so many bands well, actually most im sure, have recorded here at some point. pure amazingness. oh and speaking of the airport here, my bags havent gotten here yet. lol! we have to go back later. i really hope they come.... im sure they will. i hope.

flying alone, but still happy.

so right now, im feeling pretty ontop of the world. i got some things worked out with a friend of mine. and it makes me happy. very. the feeling of loosing a friend... not good. so im so very glad that its worked out!

ive been able to work on my music a lot lately. its something that i really enjoy. and it my parents are supportive of me recording! im so excited. i wasnt sure how they would feel about it. they are pretty much for it. though, i still have a few more things to learn, and figure out before any recording happens. but- it will eventually. one of my goals is to learn as many instruments as i can.ive been doing piano, working on the guitar, and i have a flute. who knows, maybe ill throw in the drums. haha! ya.

AND last but not least, im going to tennessee! my first trip completely on my own! its gonna be a bit nerve racking with switching planes and not really know what im doing in the airport. and waiting for my second plane to come in. whew. crazyness. i get the opportunity to live with fellow christans for two months! helping them in their daily life stuff. also helping them create and publish a magazine. its snowing there right now too! so i get a chance to wear my awesome coat... ill post pics and stuff while im there.

tomorrow i get to spend time with friends... which will be amazing!

well, im here to blog. i dont really have much to say.
things have been interesting these last few months. very.
some good, some bad. though, isnt that the way it goes

well, the nutcracker is gone and past. i must say, im happy
that its over and yet sad at the same time. it was a lot of
work and energy! i think my favorite parts out of my eight
were being the mouse king and waltz of the flowers. i enjoied
those a bit more than all my other parts. welll, i did like
part of snow. the middle-ish part. i got to do an awesome
tour jetè. fun. havent been back to ballet class yet. ive
been battling a cough, lost voice, and weird breathing.
so, the breathing being the biggest reason, i havet been back.
i didnt want to pass the not so funness to anyone there. its
getting better though. hopefully ill be able to go tomorrow.
it seems to be the worse in the evenings into the morning...
which, ballet is in the evening. sooo... .ya. now im just
rambling. would ya all pray that i get better soon?




my mom is outta town at the moment. down south. so we are all
manning the stations here, the best we can. without her, we
can get lost sometimes. haha! jk. we are okay. but we all

so update... well, i spent the entire day at the studio today. really. from 9am-5pm. im a bit sore. haha! im always sore for a while after rehearsals start. i dunno why i have to say i am, every time.
so i found out that my whole angel solo im on point. literally. so, im kinda stressed. i can do it! (haha! i have to boost myself up.) im sure it will work out. i thought i couldnt do the last dances i had to do, but, i did. soooo... mainly, i think, its just good teaching. haha!

ya. that is pretty much it. my days have been spent doing ballet and homework this last week. so there isnt much to tell.

latin choir

tonight my mom puts in the cd of the songs in latin we had to learn for choir, when i was like 11&12. memories. i like that memory. a group of kids, jake and i included, sang songs in a latin choir just before christmas. it was fun! a production that i will never forget. i remember the songs too! which make me happy for some reason...??? i have no idea why. is it just me, or have most home school kid sang in some choir or other, at some point? it does seem that way.

oh! nutcracker update! i have two roles now. i am a snow angel and the rat king. i cant wait! and because i decided to not make time for stretching and doing warm-ups to stay in shape, im very very sore. ive stretched a lot in the past few days and now im very sore. my neck... uh even thats sore. lol! i had a hard time rolling outta bed this morning because of it. im glad though. that way i wont be too outta tune when i go back for rehearsals.

okay, so i have wanted to be in the nutcracker for a long time. since i first started ballet. when we lived in sacramento, while i was a level three ballerina, i tried out. it was a bigish ballet company that was putting on the nutcracker that year. they- were very serious. i wont go into too many details, because that is a different story in and of itself. however it was an all day, two day process. i failed the first day, and went back the next with a higher hope. i got in that second as a chinese attendant. that was a long time ago... but the circumstances we were put under for the production, was not very nice. the instuctors were just a bit over harsh. so my mom didnt want me to deal with them. or rather, she didnt like the way they delt with the dancers. i didnt get perform.
so! to the point! i have a part this year! i am the three headed rat king. haha! i laughed at first. then i realized that i was in, and was excited. a certain friend of mine said, almost first thing, "i cant wait to see you dressed like a rat!" (he would). so there it is! my part in this years nutcracker. im very excited! i seriously cant wait. i may even gain another part;) i gained a few in the last performance. haha! if not, im quite happy enough to be the rat king.

ever had a day like this?(brody edition)

okay, today, like mother said, we were cleaning out our boxes in the garage. nevermind that most of the boxes between the three of us (brody, jacob, and myself), were mostly jakes. brode and i only had a box each. yeah. once brode and i were done with our one box, we resorted to picking up trash.

a habit of our kittens, before they were ban outside, was not going to the bathroom in the litter box. so brode and i spent time doing that as well. fun. then- as brody leans over to pick up some more delightfulness, he tips the bag thats already half full of it, on its side. he stand up. i start to smile. then- he realizes. haha! his face was full of such shock, horror, and disgust. he, uselessly trys to clamor up a mountain of random objects to avoid further being down-poured upon by the delightfulness that continues to unload. he did not succeed. he ended up finally putting the bag up right and standing there with a priceless expression. haha! i felt his pain. but the process was pretty funny.

my assumptions are gonna get me fired

well well, remember that week i was spose to have off. you know, this week? well it turns out that im not. and probably almost got fired on monday for not being there. i should have checked the schedule before i left saturday night. but- i didnt. not very responsible of me i must say. i really need to stop assuming. its a bad habit of mine. thank goodness my prayer was answered! i just got the," im not happy with you." instead of," yeah, i dont think you working here is working out." whew! (thank you Lord). hopefully by this thursday, the steam will have all blown off. (im afraid even to walk in there. ill do it though! ill hold my head up! haha)

today has been rather uneventful. im trying to decide what to do with myself for the rest of the evening. before i finally lay my head to rest. lol! ( like ive done anything to make my head tired).

time must have wings

do you ever feel like time goes by way too fast? one minute its a cold day in january, the next your almost in the middle of august, at the end of summer... i just. wow. i seriously feel like it was january a week or two ago. i try to think of how in the world time went by so quickly! it escapes me. all ive really done is school and work. i mean, sure i have been with friends. but- not that much! just goes to show, i guess. maybe when your focused on something(s) you dont really pay attention to the weeks that start and end. subconsciously you know that fact, but dont spend time really thinking about it.
im wondering what your doing right now..?? there is no way you are sleeping. i can think of you just lying in bed staring at the ceiling, wondering what im doing as well.
i cant wait until your back. though, i know your having fun. (no matter how you dont want to admit it=) i cant say that ive had a horrible time. just havent done anything out of the ordinary. well, i miss you. and- i love you very much.

well lately all ive been doing is working. thats my summer. lol!
i have this next week totally off! which is amazing. i usually work
three to four days a week. lately, meaning the last two weeks,ive been working four days. its nice to work by the beach though. i can hear all the sea gulls. i dont like them. i refer to them as flying rats. (haha
)... but its nice to hear the ocean life outside of four walls above
the sound of people shopping.... with questions, and complaints.ive also been working on school work. im happy to have a full week that i can get it all done. that- will be nice. sine ive been working, i almost prefer school. haha!

im here! haha! i have a horrible habit; i post for a while then- i stop posting. psh yeah. what can i say??

well things have been busy. lots of school and ballet. copious amounts of both. i have both today, just like i had both yesterday. i have, not surprisingly, been added into three more parts in two of the performances for ballet. hey hey! im considered a level three more now! when i restarted ballet my teacher didnt know where to put me, because of my history in ballet. so im officially picking up where i left off. YES! (which was half way through my fourth year.)

hey guys could you all pray that i get my school work done before the fall. i really would like to go to hancock starting this fall! that would be pretty awesome!

hello to all! haha! you all will have to let me know how you are all doing. im doing pretty good. i cant complain. i have had a crazy couple of weeks! im now in four preformances (for ballet), i had an all day long class with mr. pudewa not long ago, i have had quite a few meetings in a.g. this last week, (i know this doesnt seem crazy but-) i need to talk to my dad... about me coming down soon and the summer visit. yeah the summer visit, oh man. hes not gonna be very happy i dont think. that being because, i just cant go down for two months this year. (much like last year, cept last year i was down there for one month. this summer we're talking like very limited amount of time.)i have too much to do this summer. and- i think im old enough to plan things for the summer. last year i kinna got in trouble with him and my step-mom, for not being there. mhm, yup. so yes that will take a few weeks to build up courage to call and tell them that again. whew!

today im not doing much. i have school and ballet. thats pretty much it... i dont think ill be going anywhere or doing anything else (that i know of).

hello all... or at least to those of you who still get on here.

well, ive been pretty busy this week. my mom has been taking jacob to mr. p's writing class since monday, and has to until thursday. so ive been kinna playing the role of both sergeant mother and sister. lol! its been pretty fun actually. although-i havent been able to get all my school work done (which isnt good.)

im currently in the process of making beef burgundy for dinner. yeah- im hoping i didnt screw it up. cuz i wont know if i did for 8-10 hrs. it should be fine. it wasnt all that much work; its in the crock pot. yeah, okay, i agree with you all, enough dinner talk.

im taking mr. p's class for the SAT essay on friday. ill be gone from like 7:00 in the morning, til' some time in the afternoon. yeah, all day. i have to bring a lunch with me... psh. there will be quite a few people there that i know though. so thatll be pretty cool.

nothing extraordinary is going to happen today. just the basics: school (or what i can get done), chores (ive already done those), making meals, taking care of the kids, and my piano lesson... except later tonight when i get to see kevin! thats gonna be fun... other than that, nothing. nope nothing.

a day in the life of the inevitable...

well today- was my first day of ballet for six years! before then, i took it for three years. and i know that some of you may be laughing at my doing ballet... but i do enjoy it. plus, im not allowed to do soccer anymore. because my mom didnt like me being pumled by the guys. shes worried that id get seriously hurt. it is possible. s i also need more units or credits (whatever you like best) in p.e. so ballet counts for p.e. and like i said, i do like ballet. laugh all you want. oh! and im already gonna be in a preformance. so yeah we're talking like ballet four times a week.

i havent done much besides school. and youth group tonight... and piano lessons tomorrow. (although i do still have a physics test thats, sadly, calling my name.) alas- i must depart. sorry for talking about nothing but ballet. and if i was borring. there just hasnt been a whole lot going on=/

and just to let you know i think the word "alas" is a pretty cool word. i think that its probably one of my favorite words. i have quite a few favorite words, and that is definatly one of them. yeah... i think i need to be done now.

my week slightly magnified...

well, it seems as though i dont have much to say. as im sure youve noticed, by my lack of posting. ive been thinking for a while (when ever i get the time to think) about a good post. ive contemplated posting a poem, part of my stories, making up an adventure,or posting a dream. and none of them were very appealing to me.

so here it is... it may be borring, but- here it is anyways. (i promise i wont talk about school... cept for mentioning it here... school is not that exciting.)

so, we had company this last monday-wednesday. good friends of ours from life up in ol' sac. the pooches. it was pretty fun... i mean it was nice to see them. cuz we really didnt do much; just stayed home. well- not entirely true. mrs. pooch took all the little girls(there were three of them) to the beach with a hot thermus of tea. the boys didnt go. and neither did my mom and i. she and i had to stay home, on account of the fact that, i had to work at the the home-less shelter. and wouldnt be back in time.

and hey, ive been in search of some good books. i would really like to start reading a book. but- have been unable to find one that i was truely intrested in. which is an amazing feat... concidering there are millions of books in the world. so- if any of you have a good book... comment me the name! please...

annndd i would like to take this time to say, i love the new pride & prejudice...

hm... something more... i dont feel like im done yet. i went to youth group for the first time since last august. yeah that was fun. there were quite a few new faces.. and wednesday, i went to home groups with kev... that was fun... it was good to see him=) we played this pretty awesome game... next time i do anything, get-together- wise, we should do that game.

and i dont know who is gonna read this long post. or if anyone even does read my posts, (cept kev=) but- yeah... i guess ill be talkin to you all laters.

so whats my specialness?

okay so i was watching oprah with my mom (and no, i dont watchg oprah at all, given the exception of today) and it was about these amazing kids. like one kid was performing surgerys at the age of seven! and is now researching a cure for cancer. then there was this girl that was eight and could sing some wonderfully beautiful opera! she was amazing... then this girl from austria that could memorize names from seeing a person once... she can remember them two years later! meeting them once. annnddd there was a little boy who is five and is doing fractions! its insane. so i was thinking... what is my amazing gift? or was i assembled without one? or have i yet to discover it? i have no idea... i wish i knew. so i asked my madre. and she says," well theres no one in the world like you. like- no one has you eyes or your hair... no one is- .... like you!" and then a few minutes later she says," i feel like a retarded worthless idiot." and now we both feel lacking in specialness.... so ya. i feel yeah... im happy for all those kid though! it is amazing the gifts God gave them...
